Frequently Asked Questions

Do you charge for the design and quotation?

After an initial visit we will produce an initial design and work out a guide price, which is free of charge. If you then decide to go ahead with the work we need to take a deposit which reserves a provisional delivery date.

How long does it take to build a Kitchen?

A fully hand built kitchen will normally take between two to four months to make according to size and complexity.

Which areas do you cover?

We usually limit installations to Devon and Cornwall. As a client this means that you can be assured of our commitment to customer care and attention throughout the design, construction, and installation process.

How long does it take to install the furniture?

This depends greatly on the size and complexity of the project. A built-in wardrobe would take up to a few days, a kitchen between one to three weeks, a staircase usually between three to five days.

Can I reuse or supply my own appliances?

Yes. Our furniture can be designed to accommodate new or existing appliances.

Do you have a brochure or showroom?

This website takes the place of a brochure. We have a 1974 Airstream trailer which has been fitted out as a mobile showroom. (See our Airstream Renovations website for more details). The airstream is normally available at our workshop if you wish to visit. We will also take samples directly to customers, which means you have ample time to think through decisions regarding materials and finishes.

Do we handle all the plumbing, tiling, electrical work etc?

Most customers want us to arrange subcontractors and oversee plumbing, wiring, tiling, etc whereas others prefer to employ their own. We are happy with either arrangement, and will co-ordinate as required.
